JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimal Travel (<2%) anticipated
Work is to be performed during the core hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (excluding Federal holidays).

Successful candidates must have:

  • Experience supporting acquisition workforce development and training programs.
  • Strong ability to translate complex contracting concepts into clear, engaging, and instructionally sound learning materials.
  • Experience working with instructional systems design teams, preferably in applying ADDIE or SAM methodologies.
  • Ability to review and provide expert level feedback on acquisition-related courseware, videos, simulations, and supporting materials.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ensure deliverables are accurate and high-quality, and meet the defined performance standards, and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary SME for federal acquisition and contracting topic.
  • Ensure all training materials are accurate, policy-aligned, and consistent with the FAR, agency supplements, and other applicable regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance during the design, development, and review of instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning courses during training development projects.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of existing training content to ensure relevance, compliance, and instructional quality.
  • Provide feedback on storyboards, scripts, courseware, and multimedia products ensuring technical accuracy and the instructional effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with a team of instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and program analysts to integrate acquisition content into training materials in accordance with ADDIE or SAM models.
  • Support strategic learning initiatives by contributing to planning, evaluation, and continuous improvement of acquisition-related training programs.

Advise on emerging trends, policy updates, and best practices in federal acquisition to keep training content current.
Participate in review meetings, audits, and working groups to validate technical content and provide subject matter input.

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Acquisition/Contract Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Preferred: Master’s degree in Acquisition/Contract Management, Public Administration, or related field.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

10+ years of extensive experience in federal acquisition and contracting regulations.
