JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Sr. Grants Management Specialist to provide comprehensive logistical, administrative, and compliance support for federal grant review competitions and cooperative agreements. In this role, you will manage the full grants management lifecycle—from pre-award competition setup to post-award monitoring, budgeting, and close-out—ensuring strict adherence to federal regulations and organizational guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Lifecycle & Project Management: Develop project management plans, competition timelines, quality control audits, and contract phase-in/phase-out processes. * Review & Panel Coordination: Recruit and panel subject-matter reviewers, manage Conflict of Interest (COI) compliance, distribute technical materials, and coordinate reviewer honoraria payments. * Monitoring & Compliance: Track budget spenddowns, maintain official grant files, manage contract requirements, and ensure all public-facing materials meet Section 508 compliance standards. * Client & Applicant Communication: Establish and manage a Help Desk, facilitate regular client status meetings, prepare weekly/monthly performance reports, and issue applicant notification letters. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAS) * Deep understanding of laws, regulations, policies, and methods governing Federal grants and cooperative agreements. * Proven ability to develop work plans, track budget spenddowns, and manage application review cycles. * Strong financial acumen to assess the stability of grant recipients. * Proficiency in establishing IT capabilities for virtual/web-based information sharing and technical assistance. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related social science field. * Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in grants management or federal contract support.
