Description
Identify and Develop suppliers manufacturing ecosyetm in India for Mechanical Portfolio (Metal Machining, Plastic Machining, Forgings, Sheetmetal Fabrication and Surface Treatments). Accountable for driving the Strategic vision for the commodity, evaluating, and sourcing suppliers and managing ongoing supplier relationships to meet organizational goals. Acts as point of contact for all escalations from Manufacturing Operations, Engineering Team to Supply Chain, liaison between Manufacturing Operation and Supply Chain functional organization. Influence and work collaboratively with supply chain and engineering stakeholders; develop supplier selection process for piece parts or outsourced assemblies and identify supply chain risks supporting sourcing decisions. Initiate and lead efforts to identify and qualify second sources for material availability, cost reduction and reliability improvement. Define and monitor metrics in line with AOP (annual operating plan) objectives relative to supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement; then drives team to address and close gaps to meet objectives. The role will also require flawless delivery of activities resulting in the highest level of product and service quality as viewed in the eyes of Lam's customers. Organization and Talent Development: Select, develop, and retain an inclusive team with a strong bias for achievement, agility, confidence in managing risk in a dynamic environment, and systemic approach to problem solving. Minimum 15-18 years in Supply Chain Management/Commodity management in Engineering / Manufacturing Industry and > 10 Years in Commodity Management of Mechanical Portfolio Leading a team of Commodity managers/Supply Chain Managers in large manufacturing operations groups for MNC product-based company. Familiarity with Semiconductors, Electrical equipment Manufacturing or High-technology supply management practices, standards, and organizations. Business and technical background with a deep understanding of Mechanical Commodities such as Metal Machining, Plastic Machining, Forgings, Sheetmetal Fabrication and Surface Treatments. Has managed other Managers and has previously been responsible for a group of >20 people. Proven ability to gain partnerships, excel working and leading in a cross-functional environment with supply chain teams, manufacturing, quality, and product engineers. Strong knowledge of global supply chain processes, commodity management, strategic sourcing, supplier development and supplier relationships management. Proven experience of strong analytical and critical thinking skills with history of successful resolution, capability to drive transformation. Exhibit diligence, sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks in fast paced environment. Exceptional Leadership, negotiation, decision making, stakeholder management, people management skills. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning - setting vision and objectives, creating strategies, forecasting, and budgeting. Demonstrated experience in talent and organization development. Exceptional interpersonal relationship skills and professional level of emotional intelligence necessary to achieve the desired objective deliverables. Excellent analytical and written/oral communication skills with ability to communicate cross-functionally and with various levels of the organization including Executives. Fundamental understanding of should-cost or cost allocation & recognizes opportunities to improve product design for cost/quality/delivery by early supplier involvement. Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools Knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities as related to cost structure. Familiar with and uses Quality Principles such as Lean, Six-Sigma, 8D etc. Experience in the capital equipment industry, e.g., semiconductors, medical equipment, construction equipment, etc. Proficient in Data Analytics & Presentation Skills Six sigma green belt or above is a plus. Supply chain certification or courses.
