We are seeking a Hardware Design Engineer with role in the definition, design and validation of AWS next generation ML Chips, Cards and server integration. As a senior member of our hardware team, you will have the outstanding and meaningful opportunity to participate in the design and execution of all PCIe and Serdes topics, with the goal of creating and customized platforms that fit within AWS datacenter’s world leading technology. As a member of the Machine Learning Acceleration team you’ll be responsible for the design and optimization of hardware in our data centers. You’ll provide leadership in the application of new technologies to large scale server deployments in a continuous effort to deliver a world-class customer experience. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field - Knowledge of UVM and Matlab - Experience in communication theory, OFDM, MIMO, Digital/Wireless Communication Systems or RF engineering - Experience with current and upcoming RF standards in cellular (4G/5G), WiMAX, 802.11ad, microwave backhaul, DVB-S2 / DVB-C, or related broadband wireless standards Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field - Experience in RTL coding and debug, as well as performance, power, area analysis and trade-offs - Experience with modern ASIC/FPGA design and verification tools - Experience with SOC bring-up and post-silicon validation Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600/year in our highest geographic market.
