The Senior HSE Specialist will play a key role in supporting site-wide health, safety, and environmental programs with a strong emphasis on industrial hygiene (IH) . This position is responsible for anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards that may cause injury, illness, or environmental harm. The Sr. HSE Specialist will work closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while driving continuous improvement in safety culture and performance.
You will report directly to our Director of HSE and you’ll work out of our Plymouth, MN location.
The annual base salary range for this position is $ 92,800- $115,900. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of HSE programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct industrial hygiene monitoring and assessments (air sampling, noise monitoring, chemical exposure, ventilation, ergonomics, etc.) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform risk assessments, hazard analysis, and root cause investigations to identify and mitigate potential safety and health risks.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site-wide training programs on HSE and industrial hygiene topics.
  • Partner with operations teams to ensure safe work practices, including confined space entry, lockout/tagout, hot work, respiratory protection, and chemical management.
  • Maintain accurate records of sampling data, exposure assessments, and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to site leadership with actionable recommendations.
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Mentor junior HSE staff and provide guidance on industrial hygiene best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen site safety culture and environmental stewardship.
