Description Position Summary: Support and enhance the Human Resources department in achieving its strategic goals through policy interpretation and compliance, benefit administration, comprehensive recruitment efforts, and overseeing training and development programs. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will address both routine, complex and sensitive HR matters, mentor junior HR staff where needs, and either support or lead initiatives to support organizational growth and employee engagement. Maintain effective communication channels and spearhead company events and employee activities as requested. Handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism. Other projects and duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager. Requirements ESSENTIAL DUITES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE: Follow rules and processes as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality Manual, and Safety training regarding conduct and performance standards expected of all employees. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information. Collaborate closely with the Human Resource Manager to develop and implement HR strategies that support UEA’s business goals. Support or lead initiatives to support organizational growth and employee engagement including, but not limited to, policy interpretation and compliance, benefit administration, and strategic recruitment efforts for all levels of positions within the organization. Handle both routine and complex employee relations issues, including performance management, terminations, and conflict resolution, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies to foster a positive workplace culture. Collaborate with UEA’s safety and compliance Specialist to support and drive a safety culture. Spearhead training and development programs, including onboarding, compliance training, employee development, and career advancement opportunities. Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, providing expert guidance on HR matters. Mentor and guide junior HR team members when needed, fostering their professional growth and ensuring consistency in HR practices. Stay current on HR trends, laws, and best practices to proactively address organizational needs and maintain compliance. Consistently and effectively manage multiple responsibilities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks. Represent UEA favorably in all business interactions, demonstrating professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for the position and situation. Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance and communicate scheduled and unscheduled absences in advance. Perform other duties as directed by the Human Resource Manager. REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred. HR Certification (SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, HRCI-PHR/SPHR) preferred. EXPERIENCE - Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and training. Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience handling complex employee relations and implementing strategic HR initiatives. SKILLS - Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills are essential to effectively collect and disseminate information at all organizational levels. Expertise in handling sensitive employee matters and delivering strategic HR solutions. Professionalism, advanced organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are critical competencies. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity). Must be able to work independently and collaboratively, with sound judgment and strategic thinking abilities. PHYSICAL - Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear (with mechanical assistance if necessary) sufficiently to understand and comprehend individual one-on-one conversations. Possess specific vision abilities including near vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus (with corrective lenses if necessary) to perform the requirements of the position. MENTAL - Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently and possess the ability to communicate clearly on technical and business levels. Must maintain professional conduct and discretion at all times. WORKING CONDITIONS: The Senior Human Resources Generalist will primarily work in a plant office setting, a temperature-controlled, smoke-free environment that also has typical factory hazards including noise, dust, blocked walkways, and tripping hazards. United Equipment Accessories, Inc. functions in a real market environment that changes at various times of the year, which occasionally may create high-output or greater time pressure demands. This is an exempt position, and completion of duties regardless of the number of hours or days worked per week is expected. Office hours will vary according to business demands.
