EDUCATION:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four (4) year college or university in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of HR leadership experience working with executive level.
  • Experience managing an HR Department that services 400+ employees across multiple state locations.
  • Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
  • Subject matter expert in handling complex employee relations matters
  • Experience in Rippling HRIS system is a plus.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Sr Human Resources Manager Lead reports to the Head of People with a dotted line to the Contract Manager. Position requires 100% in office work and travel to multiple locations within the state of Florida. Primary location is Orlando, Florida.
The Sr. HR Manager will maintain the HR infrastructure for our Florida Project, including the HRIS, benefit offerings, and assisting in the compensation structure, organizational design and vendor selection to support internal processes. Plan, lead, direct, develop, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. Responsible for aligning business strategies, cyclical processes and initiatives.
Fosters partnerships across a matrix organization to deliver value-added service to management and employees reflecting the organization’s business objectives. Oversees HR Team to support operational objectives and enhance ongoing needs/continuous improvements. Leads, manages, motivates, develops team and ensures all policies and processes are followed consistently. Hires, leads, manages, motivates, performance manage and develops team. Ensures the team has tools, resources, and are engaged to perform the duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, design, develop and implement HR strategic plan for our Florida project
  • Serve as lead HR for the Florida project and oversee all HR functions.
  • Partner with project leadership and legal to mitigate risks for the organization; establish precedence and best practices for the HR organization.
  • Research, develop and establish competitive compensation structures, including benefit offerings to attract and retain top performers.
  • Partner with vendors to ensure delivery of services in alignment with SLAs and per contract.
  • Collaborates with project key leadership to develop goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, compliance, talent management, engagement and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Partners with project leadership to identify and create organizational structure, including staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
