JOB ID 21938 – SR. HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST (PT)

Location: Tampa, 33634 – WFH Flexible
Pay: $40-$45 per hour
Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: Part-time, 30-35 hours weekly
Flexible: M-F, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters, including handling sensitive allegations, workplace concerns, and formal investigations in compliance with federal, state, and child welfare regulations.
• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of internal employee investigations—from intake through resolution—ensuring consistent documentation, adherence to organizational protocol, and timely closure.
• Establish strong working relationships with managers and program leaders across departments to provide guidance on disciplinary actions, coaching, documentation, and corrective action aligned with organizational values and compliance standards.
• Maintain a proactive approach to policy enforcement and incident response, ensuring all HR practices align with regulations related to working with children, including mandatory reporting and internal safety protocols.
• By the end of the first month, be fully equipped to coach managers on HR best practices and lead employee relations issues independently, after a brief training transition from the current team member in the role.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have over (10) year of Human Resources experience
• Must be experienced with employee investigations and corrective action
• Non-profit background strongly preferred
• Experience working with children strongly preferred
• Employer will perform testing
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Level II background check required
• Drug screening required
