We are looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager, who is safety conscious and willing to grow the business. This is a role where you will working in a TEAM environment, where safety comes first.
The Sr. Human Resources Manager is responsible for partnering with the local HR Managers and business leaders to ensure facility operations are adequately staffed while attaining high employee satisfaction and engagement. The incumbent is responsible for developing, guiding, and executing initiatives in the areas of culture, change management, talent assessment and development, succession, and performance management to drive high performance for a diverse workforce. This position is located at our Alexandria, LA facility and will have oversight of at least two (2) additional facilities located in Tennessee and Ohio. Minimal travel will be required to support these facilities.

Primary responsibilities and/or essential functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Coach and advise leaders, support multiple functions/departments to create a high-performance culture through talent management, performance management, and leadership development (coach, counsel, career development, performance management, etc.).
  • Collaborate with local HR Managers and leadership to develop strategy, addressing employee related issues.
  • Leads/manages projects and/or participates as a project member on HR initiatives as assigned by the Senior HR Director.
  • Develops written and oral presentations that have high clarity and impact. Provides regular written reports as needed.
  • Identifies and applies innovative ideas to adapt to changing work demands.
  • Develops and implements policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of each department. This includes programs associated with employee relations, diversity & inclusion, employee complaints, external education, and career development.
  • The incumbent will not only demonstrate, but will also lead initiatives, promote participation, and recognize employees and leaders that live by the organizations commitments and values.
  • The incumbent is responsible for building relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to support the organization’s mission.Participate in and support quality projects and initiatives to ensure that the company achieves its goals.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required. In lieu of a college degree, the incumbent must have a minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in a large industrial/manufacturing facility.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a HR Manager in a lean manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Possess and leverage business acumen to drive shareholder value.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Builds and effectively manages interpersonal relationships across all levels of the company.
  • Utilize workforce data to identify HR insights to make proactive solutions.
  • People oriented and results driven.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases along with tracking metrics
  • In depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
