    The primary purpose and role of this position is a tax senior to help provide leadership to staff and handle the day-to-day tax compliance and planning to ensure timely and accurate tax reporting, effective tax planning, and assist in process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 3 or more years of experience related to corporate tax work. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of experience is required.
  • Experience managing and coaching others.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with annual preparation of tax returns utilizing OneSource and CCH Axcess
  • Ensure the compliance process is working to deliver the extension filings, year-end planning, and quarterly estimated tax calculations, as needed.
  • Maintain proficiency with respect to current tax laws and tax law changes including the ability to perform tax research.
  • Research and memorandum writing skills are required to help document positions.
  • Help tax team monitor status of electronic filing of tax returns to ensure timely filing / acceptance by taxing authorities.
  • Knowledge and experience of tax issues related to Individual, C-Corps, S-Corps and Partnerships.
  • Act as mentor, support, and assist in the development and training of staff.
  • Bring forth ideas to improve processes and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, as well as State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
  • Other duties as assigned.
