SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising daily operations related to In-Bond shipments and Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) activities, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and company standards. This includes managing accurate and timely data entry, coordinating import/export processes from invoice receipt to final delivery and customer invoicing, and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication. The role also involves evaluating procedures for efficiency and accuracy, and maintaining consistent collaboration with employees, the facility manager, and the Director of Customs Bond Management – Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) to support operational and regulatory compliance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree or equivalent from a four-year College or four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Any response to government agencies especially in writing must be approved by the Director of Customs Bond Management (LCB). Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Good Customer Service skills.

Supervise FTZ / Inbond department for bonded goods and FTZ activities and evaluate performance according to metrics established on import and export controls.
Knowledge of day-to-day operations. Ability to perform and supervise others performing transportation Inbond entries and carrier compliance, brokerage controls, invoicing, etc.
Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives to enhance the performance of the position, your team and the company.
Lead, mentor and assist team members in Import / Export processes (Customs Inbonds, Carrier Bond Compliance, Import and Export Controls, Understanding of Entry /Entry Summary, DODA, etc.).
Communicate and coordinate with carriers, forwarders, brokers and other third parties to assure accurate reporting of information to U.S. Customs and improvement of communication, processes, etc.
Interact with customers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, give feedback and reports that will fulfill corporate’s needs and concerns and better serve and resolve Pro Trans issues.
Assure all Customs deadlines are met to avoid penalties, errors and timely reporting of compliance records.
Reports timely to Director of Customs Bond Management (LCB) any unusual situations or unknown issues that arise.
Prepare work schedules to meet the needs of customers and ensure efficiency and limit the need for overtime.
Ensure compliance with FTZ regulations by managing inventory control, recordkeeping, and reporting in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) requirements and 19 CFR Part 146.
Coordinate FTZ operations including admission, transfer, and export of goods, while maintaining accurate documentation and reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Serve as a coordinator between internal departments, customs brokers, and government agencies to facilitate audits, resolve compliance issues, and support efficient movement of goods within the FTZ to include FTZ Operator (City of El Paso).
Maintain compliance with U.S. Customs regulations (19 CFR Part 146) by managing FTZ inventory records, admissions, and removals using approved inventory control systems.
