Description As we continue to grow, Daniels Manufacturing Corporation (DMC) is seeking a detailed-oriented and organized Sr. Inventory Analyst to join our enterprise-wide accounting team. This position will play a crucial role in analyzing, reporting, and controlling costs associated with manufacturing operations with multiple entities and locations. This position will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, budget management and cost analysis. This position is a US based (Orlando, FL), work in-office role (8am-5pm Eastern time). Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities Cost Accounting Develop cost analysis and gross margin reports for management Review Infor Syteline job cost variance reports for potential efficiency gaps and/or material variances Support entities in reaching financial KPIs and strategic objectives Participate in cross functional meetings to address procedural and/or control issues pertaining to inventory movements and adjustments Analyze manufacturing costs of Raw Materials, Labor and Overhead, to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement at all entities Monitor inventory shrink, scrap, and obsolescence and provide monthly summaries to senior management Prepare productivity KPI reports by manufacturing work center Track all direct and indirect labor hours by manufacturing job and work center Collaborate with engineering and production teams to update Bills of Material as required Review and audit all CEA (Capital Expenditure Authorizations) submissions for profit-improving Projects Support engineering department for all cost savings and cost reduction projects Review outside processing expenses tied to jobs and report variances from expected purchase order approved amounts Assist with annual overhead rate calculation Inventory Management Monitor inventory levels and valuation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards Assist in reconciling physical inventory counts with system records and investigate discrepancies Monitor daily inventory cycle counts and address inventory items that are out of compliance Work closely with Inventory Manager and manage Cycle Count ABC codes in Infor Syteline Work closely with procurement and manufacturing to optimize inventory turnover and days of supply Analyze and reconcile off-site inventory for Amazon and off-site warehouse Support annual physical inventory for DMC manufacturing operations Help maintain Infor Syteline data fields for inventory adjustment reason codes Financial Planning and Budgeting Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts related to cost of goods sold and manufacturing expenses (variable / fixed) Provide support for all planned and forecasted direct and indirect labor hours by work center Compile and provide support for all projected CAPEX for budgets and forecasts Develop metrics for forecasted and budgeted inventory shrink, scrap, and obsolescence General Accounting and Ad-Hoc Prepare all monthly journal entries relating to inventory reconciliation and cost analysis Reconcile inventory general ledger control accounts to inventory subsidiary ledger (Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods) Manage and maintain fixed assets and monthly depreciation schedules Provide support for Monthly Business Review relating to inventory metrics Assist with other balance sheet account reconciliations as assigned Assist with annual audit for all inventory reconciliations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment , with focus on cost accounting Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis Experience with ERP systems and accounting software (Infor Syteline, Oracle, SAP, MS D365, MS Excel) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
