JOB DESCRIPTION

Watsco, Inc., a publicly traded corporation (NYSE: WSO) has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results-oriented Senior IT Auditor to be located at its corporate headquarters in Coconut Grove, Florida.
Watsco is a $7billion revenue Fortune 500 company, and the largest distributor of air conditioning, heating and refrigeration products in the world. We have over 700 locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico, with additional market coverage on an export basis to portions of Latin America and the Caribbean.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should have the following:

• 3-4 years of related professional experience
• Strong knowledge and application of internal audit and IT audit principles and practices is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of management information system terminology, concepts, and practices
• Experience working with or auditing IT applications, databases, platforms, and networks preferred.
• Capable of leading and performing testing on their own with minimal supervision.
• A degree in MIS, IT, or a related field.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Detailed or working knowledge of ERP applications is a plus.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, (i.e. Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, and/or CPA are preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set and have the capacity for learning to identify and assess IT risks, as well as audit Watsco’s various IT environments. The job responsibilities will make the most of the candidate’s strengths and challenge the individual to develop even further in a supportive, team-focused atmosphere. Duties will include:

• Evaluating, testing and documenting audits of general IT controls and system application controls for Watsco and its subsidiaries as required under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
• Assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the Company’s general IT controls and system application controls.
• Executing audits in a professional manner and in accordance with acceptable standards.
• Evaluating and reviewing SOC reports.
• Reporting audit findings and recommendations to Management.
• Performing special audits/reviews at the request of Management and the Senior Director of Internal Audit.
• Tracking work progress and ensuring objectives and deadlines are met.
• Assisting with the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Assisting Watsco and its subsidiaries in implementing their IT strategies
