As a Senior IT Business Analyst specializing in Integrations and EDI, you will be responsible for translating business requirements into integration strategies, recommending solutions to address complex integration challenges, and providing project leadership. This role focuses on leveraging tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and MuleSoft Anypoint Platform to design and implement robust integration solutions across systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data exchange, process automation, and alignment between technical execution and business needs.
Primary Job Accountabilities:
- Proven leadership in guiding teams through complex integration initiatives, mentoring team members, and creating a collaborative environment that promotes continuous improvement and shared ownership
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to translate integration requirements and functional designs into clear, actionable technical specifications for OIC and MuleSoft implementations
- Evaluate business operations, integration workflows, and EDI processes using qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and efficiency gains
- Collaborate with technology partners to perform root cause analysis of integration failures, EDI transmission issues, and data mapping discrepancies
- Analyze integration-related data issues and enhancement requests, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement remediation strategies
- Create and maintain integration documentation, including mapping specifications, API contracts, EDI transaction guides, and deployment plans
- Conduct technical discovery and documentation of integration requirements, including source/target system analysis, transformation logic, and EDI compliance standards
- Monitor integration project progress by leading planning efforts, tracking issues, providing status updates, and addressing risks proactively
- Develop and execute test plans for integration flows and EDI transactions, ensuring validation, user acceptance, and alignment with business requirements
- Review and validate integration logs and EDI acknowledgments to ensure data accuracy, process integrity, and compliance with business and trading partner standards
- Support the modification and enhancement of existing integration flows and EDI mappings based on evolving business needs and partner specifications
- Investigate and resolve integration and EDI-related support tickets, ensuring timely resolution, documentation of root causes, and continuous improvement of integration processes
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Education, Requirements & Competencies:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in a similar field or equivalent professional work experience.
- 5–10 years of experience with proven record of successfully conceptualizing, designing, and delivery of various business or product solutions.
- Hands-on experience defining and implementing integration solutions in collaboration with developers and architects, including data flow design, mapping, and deployment
- Strong understanding of the integration lifecycle, including requirements gathering, mapping specifications, testing, and production support
- Proven ability to think strategically and analytically about cross-system business issues and data exchange challenges
- Strong knowledge of all phases of SDLC with emphasis on integration and EDI project execution
- Intermediate computer skills, including, but not limited to, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Skilled in facilitating meetings, including setting agendas, leading discussions, documenting outcomes, and coordinating follow-ups
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, negotiate priorities, and align cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across various levels of an organization and with external trading partners
Preferred
- Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, or similar iPaaS solutions for system integration and automation
- Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion applications (especially ERP, SCM, or HCM modules)
- Experience analyzing and documenting API contracts, payloads (e.g., JSON, XML), and integration touchpoints
- Knowledge of testing phases and approaches including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing of APIs and EDI transactions
- Experience with API and integration testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI) to validate data flows, ensure interface accuracy, and support end-to-end testing in integrated environments.
The base salary range for this position is $125,000 – 145,000 annually, plus a 10% annual bonus opportunity. Please note that the base salary will vary based on geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s experience.
