JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Senior Technology Manager that is passionate about providing useful, working software that will have a real impact on the way our bank does business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the s trategic solution for a number of Domain Services and Frameworks in the Real Time Payments technology team . This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to solve problems of scale and speed for solutions that are used by TD Customers world wide !

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

  • 7 + years of experience leading technology teams
  • 7 + years of software design, architecture and a deep understanding of system integration patterns
  • 7 + years of experience developing software solutions with Java and Spring
  • 7 + years of experience with Objected Oriented Design and Programming
  • 7+ years of experience with Micro Services Architecture (REST and Asynchronous/ Non Blocking ) including transaction management with SAGAs, CQRS, Outbox Pattern
  • Experience managing ve ndor relationships
  • Experience with data integration patterns ( Webservices, MQ, Kafka )
  • Experience with multiple delivery processes with a focus on Agile development methodologies
  • A passion for simplifying and automating work, for making things better, for being efficient and helping others
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional communicator with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Cloud platforms experience and related technologies (Dell VMC, Azure)

Nice To Have

  • Knowledge of Payments ISO formats
  • Experience managing a 24/7 customer facing system
  • Experience with Faster Payments such as e-Transfer/RTR, Zelle , or FedNow

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

  • Drive program success through product strategy, technical design and roadmap development

  • Manage technical staff of Developers, BSA’s, Testers responsible for implementing the product stra t egy
