Description

Resource Profile 10 + years of experience in project management, managing medium to large sized IT projects. Experience in Scrum and waterfall methodologies. Resource Responsibilities Work within an existing team to manage multiple streams of work. Manage project activities throughout the project lifecycle, including defining scope, goals, deliverables in collaboration with IT partners and Business stakeholders. Develop and execute project plans as well as other project documents and project related communication Maximize the value created by the project team by ensuring focus and flow, removing impediments, escalating blockers and managing dependencies with other teams in the organization. Work with project stakeholders to ensure that goals are understood by everyone, manage the backlog, create Stories and Acceptance Criteria, sequence items to maximize value delivery Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including iteration planning, retrospectives, standups Work with a sense of urgency and demonstrate leadership skills to achieve high performance and excellent service Identify, manage and help mitigate project risks and issues Work closely with Service Delivery Manager to ensure the project is on track and escalate any impediments Lead cross functional teams to deliver on diverse IT commitments / deliverables Facilitate and/or participate in technical discussions while effectively building relationships and influencing decisions Work and negotiate with a variety of business stakeholders and vendors Prepare/edit comprehensive project reports, and other documents with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Requirements Knowledge & Skills Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management and scrum in a software development environment managing medium to large sized projects Experience with managing project activities throughout the project lifecycle Experience in creating and executing project plans, and managing projects through completion Experience in projects involving IT and business teams Experience with a range of agile delivery techniques and tools Excellent understanding of the software development life cycle Excellent project management, analytical and problem solving skills Strong ability to facilitate, understand and contribute to technical discussions Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable communicating with IT development teams as well as business stakeholders and Senior Management. Effective facilitation and conflict resolution skills; able to facilitate discussion of multiple approaches and drive resolution.
