DESCRIPTION

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned and collaborative Java to support the Internal Logistics Applications Team. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that involve enhancing regionally deployed applications and modernizing legacy solutions. The successful candidate will work through the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), focusing on developing new features, uplifting existing systems, and supporting internal stakeholders. It is a contract position with potential for extension, offering a competitive pay rate, and a dynamic team-work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum seven years of hands-on experience in Java software development with a strong focus on Spring framework (Spring Boot, MVC, Security, Data).
· Proficiency in front-end development with Angular 14 or higher.
· Strong experience with PostgreSQL databases, SQL, and data modeling.
· Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD tools such as Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
· Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment and delivering iterative solutions.
· Strong systems design, business analysis, and application testing background.
· Experience with Kafka, Redis, Selenium, or legacy JEE technologies using WebSphere v8.5.5 is an asset.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage directly with end users.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Design, develop, and maintain Java-based backend applications using Spring Boot/ MVC.
· Implement user interfaces and front-end logic using Angular 14+.
· Ensure robust database integration with PostgreSQL 15+, and support database design and data modeling tasks.
· Integrate and manage CI/CD pipelines using Docker, Jenkins, and Git.
· Work directly with end users and stakeholders to gather requirements and troubleshoot application issues.
· Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the SDLC.
· Create detailed work estimates, test plans, deployment guides, and technical documentation.
