We are looking for a skilled JIRA & Confluence Administrator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing, supporting, and optimizing our Atlassian tool suite, ensuring seamless functionality, performance, and user experience. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge in JIRA administration, experience with custom workflows, security schemes, dashboards, and performance tuning.
This is a fully remote position requiring availability for 8-hour shifts in the PST timezone.
· Support JIRA and Confluence administration, including creation and management of custom, complex projects, workflows, security schemes, custom fields, dashboards and reports configurations.
· Expert level tool administration knowledge on JIRA, and proficiency in Atlassian tool suite.
· Lead minor and major JIRA/Confluence upgrades (including communications), schedule and coordinate maintenance, and lead performance tuning/scaling in conjunction with our JIRA hosting partner.
· Install, manage and administer Jira add-ons, plugins, and extensions.
· Understand and adapt XML configuration files in regards to JIRA/Rally integration as necessary
· Perform requirements gathering, business process workflows, and process improvement for JIRA/Confluence workflows and processes in place, identifying where functionality can/cannot meet user requests.
· Create, maintain and support dashboards and advanced filters for end users reporting capabilities.
· Provide User Management and grant user permissions in accordance with role given by the company.
· Resolve issues as they arise with JIRA Projects and Confluence in coordination with JIRA hosting partner team.
· Proficient in Project Setups, Components, JIRA Reporting, Report Filters and Dashboard creation
· Expert in problem-solving skills and technical expertise to ensure system stability and performance.
· Ability to handle general updates and configuration changes/requests.
· Proactively identifying performance bottlenecks and resource utilization issues by analyzing Thread Dumps, Finding the Root Cause of Outages, Collecting and interpreting thread dumps to diagnose system hangs and crashes, Identifying deadlocks, long-running threads, and resource contention issues.
· Enhancing system reliability by implementing self-healing mechanisms.
