JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Schedule routine and new product, cost reduction, tech service pilot plant trials · Inventory and gather ingredients and supplies · Fully own batch routine/complex fluid, cultured, and frozen formulations · Fully own pilot plant and lab activities including assembly and operation · Record data and report observations · Assist project leaders with data interpretation · Collaborate on next steps with project leaders · Document standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and teach to others · Independently conduct routine production trials · Assist project leaders with complex production trials · Independently conduct routine lab tests · The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent · 2 to 4 years of experience in a food or dairy industry (Vocational or collegiate training considered commensurate for experience) · Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES · Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of pilot plant, production, and lab procedures · Aptitude for equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitation · Working knowledge of mathematics for formula calculations · Able to generate ideas, test their effectiveness, and assist plan of action · Able to demonstrate professional oral and written communication · Must be able to read, write and speak English   An Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans
Responsibilities
The role involves scheduling and executing routine and new product pilot plant trials, fully owning batch formulations, and managing all pilot plant and lab activities including assembly and operation. Responsibilities also include recording data, assisting project leaders with interpretation, documenting standard operating procedures, and independently conducting routine production and lab trials.
