Description We are looking for a results-oriented Senior Production Lead to manage our company's 2nd shift plant operations. Our successful candidate should exhibit extensive knowledge of production processes and experience in a similar industry. A top-notch Production Lead will be someone whose production line expertise results in production targets being met without compromising on quality. This essential role within our company will partner with our Production Manager to help them meet their goals and keep the department running safely. In addition, the team lead will give our production associates a voice and address their day-to-day needs. The Production Lead will be the right hand to the Production Supervisor for leading the daily activities of a production work cell(s). They will set up the production line before the start of shift working with material handlers to ensure all materials required to complete production are available. They will implement responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. High school diploma or GED. At least five years' production line experience in a related industry. 3-5 years in a supervisory role preferred. Extensive knowledge of product specifications and production standards. In-depth knowledge of industry regulations. Proficiency in computers and office software. Superb leadership skills. Exceptional organizational and time management abilities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Excellent problem-solving techniques. Requirements · Identify manpower requirements and communicate with personnel department to staff accordingly. · Responsible for training and cross training all employees to properly perform their designated operations. · Constantly monitor employee performance for adherence HFI safety rules, plant rules, and policies to documented procedures and providing regular feedback and coaching. · Serves as a point of escalation for complex issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution. · Support in completing and issuing performance appraisals and disciplinary action. · Performs daily pre-shift communications. · Assists employees in production functions in a “hands on” environment when needed. · Assist in managing production employees’ time in HFI human resource management system and approve hours weekly. · Report production equipment failure and ensure prompt repair and adjustments as required. · Initiate actions to address process or equipment deficiencies. · Provide the timely and properly sequenced production of products as required to meet customer requirements. · Will perform the above duties and any other duties assigned by Plant Management.

Responsibilities
