EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum HS Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Technical Associate’s degree (2 years) preferred but not required
  • Minimum 5 years of applicable experience or demonstrated skill required, or 3 years as a Maintenance Technician (MT2)
  • Strong communication skills

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The base salary range for this role is $52,800 - $66,000. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE AT BAXTER

The Sr Maintenance Technician will support plant production by ensuring the flawless operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and systems. By bringing to bear preventative maintenance procedures and root cause analysis, you will reduce equipment downtime and help us meet our ambitious production schedules. This role reports to a Maintenance Supervisor.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Perform maintenance on automated production machinery to ensure efficient equipment availability and minimal downtime.
  • Complete preventive and predictive maintenance procedures while strictly adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Focus on process and equipment improvement to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with production, quality, engineering, drafting, purchasing, and suppliers to support plant operations and capital projects.
  • Investigate root cause technical issues and determine the best solutions, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Actively seek opportunities for personal and professional growth while empowering colleagues.
  • Participate in training for Production Technicians, Maintenance Techs, and Maintenance Tech 2s.
  • Ensure all work is detailed thoroughly and the workspace is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Engage in projects, upgrades, and equipment relocations, managing tasks from start to finish.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including PLCs, photo eyes, controllers, and more.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with mechanical systems, including hand tools, fabrication, and HVAC.
  • Lead contractors and other maintenance techs in various projects, ensuring compliance with all safety and GMP guidelines.
