About the role The Senior Accounting Manager will own and scale AgelessRx’s accounting function, building a structured, reliable financial foundation that supports rapid, compliant growth across multiple entities. This role combines strong technical accounting leadership with a focus on process maturity, system optimization, and automation to strengthen reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. Partnering closely with the Director of Finance and other cross-functional leaders, the Senior Accounting Manager plays a key role in enhancing financial visibility, reinforcing internal controls, and developing a scalable accounting infrastructure for a mission-driven, high-growth healthcare organization. The ideal candidate brings hands-on accounting expertise in a fast-growing environment, a process-improvement mindset, and the confidence to take ownership of core financial operations while building scalable systems and controls. Please Note: We’re open to starting this role as a contract position, with the potential to move into a full-time role for the right fit. This isn’t required, but something we’re open to exploring. What you'll do Operational Accounting & Close Own the end-to-end accounting function across entities, including GL management, revenue recognition, payroll, AP/vendor management, AR, tax coordination, and financial statement preparation Lead and continuously improve the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, driving speed, accuracy, predictability, and GAAP compliance Prepare and review journal entries (accruals, reclasses, and complex/non-routine transactions) with clear support and documentation Establish and maintain reconciliations, schedules, and close support files that support reporting accuracy and audit readiness Controls, Compliance & Audit Design, document, and maintain scalable accounting policies, SOPs, and internal controls that support operational consistency and audit readiness Oversee balance sheet integrity through review of account reconciliations and timely resolution of discrepancies Own relationships and coordination with external auditors, tax advisors, and outsourced accounting partners, driving smooth audits and tax engagements Systems, Automation & Scale Evaluate and evolve accounting systems, tools, and workflows to support growth, with an automation- and AI-first mindset Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and close velocity while reducing manual work and key-person risk Maintain system integrity and clean data flow across financial platforms, including intercompany transaction tracking and reconciliations Financial Reporting & Business Partnership Prepare and review internal financial reporting, delivering variance analysis, trend insights, and management-ready explanations Partner closely with FP&A and Finance leadership so reliable actuals inform forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning Serve as a trusted finance partner to leadership, supporting ad hoc analyses and proactively identifying risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities Leadership & Function Development Act as the day-to-day owner of accounting execution, setting standards for quality, documentation, accountability, and continuous improvement Build scalable processes and infrastructure that allow the accounting function to grow beyond a single individual and support future team expansion Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA designation or active progress toward certification preferred 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience in a high-growth, startup, or multi-entity environment Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation in a scaling organization Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas, data analysis, and structured financial models Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) Strong attention to detail with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote-first environment Collaborative communicator who can partner effectively across Finance, Operations, and Leadership Experience in telehealth, healthcare, or regulated environments a plus
