The Sr. Manager Accounting Europe will be responsible for overseeing the Europe accounting function, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial records, and managing a team of accountants. This role will lead financial reporting and statutory compliance, while ensuring alignment with corporate goals. The Sr. Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and senior leadership to provide timely, actionable financial insights and support business decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant strong background in publicly traded automotive industry or manufacturing companies (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification (required).
- MBA or advanced degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and SOX compliance.
- Experience with SAP ERP systems and Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience is a must.
- Proven experience in managing a team and working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing appropriately and handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours to ensure alignment with U.S. headquarters.
