Description

Responsible for managing all activities related to the global close and general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial close calendar and other duties as necessary to ensure an accurate and timely financial close. Participates in the preparation and review of financial statements, including footnotes, MD&A and other miscellaneous financial statement disclosures. Work with both internal and external auditors to provide requested information timely. Responsible for maintenance and execution of internal controls within the Corporate Accounting department to comply with SOX regulations, including updating related SOX narratives. Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with business leaders to help guide and influence decision-making regarding accounting and reporting issues. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; a CPA or MBA is preferred. Seven (7) years of related experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered. Big 4 or other large public accounting firm experience preferred Experience working in technical accounting and financial reporting within a manufacturing organization Advanced computer skills Advanced decision making/problem solving skills Advanced verbal and written skills Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently Good communication and team skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality of all customer and company information is required.
