Description

Join us in pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. For everyone. Everyw Sustainably.
Our inspiring and caring environment forms a global community that celebrates diversity and individuality. We encourage you to step beyond your comfort zone, offering resources and flexibility to foster your professional and personal growth, all while valuing your unique contributions.
About the Team
This position, based in Charleston SC, is part of the Computed Tomography (CT) Research Collaborations team which is a multidisciplinary group of scientists, medical physicists, and engineers who work closely with clinical and scientific leaders at top academic hospitals across North America.
Our mission is to help shape the future of Computed Tomography, with a particular focus on photon-counting CT (PCCT) and, increasingly, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI), both for workflow automation and for enabling innovative postprocessing applications that bring clinical value.
The CT Collaboration team supports CT predevelopment, translation into clinical products, and post-market evaluation. In recent years, the team has taken on significant responsibilities in clinical data collection to accelerate AI development in CT and PCCT, while also contributing to validation efforts for regulatory submissions of CT applications, including those to the FDA.
Specifically, for PCCT, the team is tasked with generating clinical evidence in four key clinical areas: Cardiology, Pulmonology, Neurology, and Oncology. An emerging area of focus is the integration of health economics and outcomes research to support value-based healthcare.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Manager to help lead and grow our CT Collaboration team. This role combines mentorship, leadership, scientific insight, and strategic execution across clinical research, product development, and academic partnerships.
The individual will be responsible for owning, developing, and expanding relationships with our academic and clinical collaboration partners, and for identifying, designing, and executing projects that provide mutual value. In addition, the Senior Manager will serve as a key liaison between our collaborators and internal Siemens stakeholders, including those in marketing, product definition, and research and development.
As a team leader, the individual is expected to inspire and mentor team members, enabling them to reach their full potential and make the best use of their capabilities. They will be responsible for fostering a high-performance culture, identifying areas for improvement, and leading efforts to address them. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for attracting top talent to join Siemens, while retaining key expertise and experience within the team.
As a leader, the Senior Manager will lead by example and will be responsible for collaborations at one of our luminary collaboration sites, the Medical University of South Carolina.
The role will require travel for customer visits, to Siemens locations, conferences and events. Estimate travel will be on average 25%, but in busy periods (few times a year) may be closer to 50%.
The Senior Manager reports to the Senior Director of CT collaborations in North America.

  • Oversee appropriate compliance, legal, compliance, regulatory and clinical affairs review for all research contracts in accordance to the CT collaboration directive SOP.
  • Provide leadership for collaboration activities by coordinating collaboration managers, monitoring processes, and maintaining strong partnerships with research institutions to fulfill contractual commitments.
  • Navigate and resolve complex situations which can include negotiations around budget, timelines, and partner expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in a CT-relevant discipline (e.g., Medical Physics, Biomedical or Electrical Engineering) or equivalent training such as M.D. with experience in Radiology and Medical Imaging research.
  • Minimum four years of experience across medical imaging, clinical research, or product development in the radiology field.
  • Strong prioritization skills; able to balance strategic and operational responsibilities effectively.
