Description

ABOUT RHAPSODY:

We all know that our health care system is complicated. Getting data from one provider to another, or from a provider to a health insurance company, is frustrating for virtually everyone. Imagine developing solutions that help make these data transactions easier and faster. That is what we do at Rhapsody; we make interoperability platforms that allow data – such as patient encounter details, lab results, and billing information – to move seamlessly from one system to another.
While most people will not ever see our products and services during a medical encounter, our interoperability platforms are running behind the scenes. Think of them as the central nervous system helping to move data where it needs to be to improve the patient experience. To learn more about Rhapsody, visit

SUMMARY:

Envoy is our technology first solution offering, powering critical integrations for a global network of healthcare and technology partners. As the Manager of Envoy Platform Operations, you won’t just be keeping things running, you’ll be shaping the future of how integration solutions are delivered. This role is about impact: leading a high-performing, follow-the-sun team, transforming operations with automation and AI, and ensuring our customers experience world-class reliability and service.
Few roles provide this level of exposure to a global client base and the opportunity to directly influence how next-generation integration solutions scale across healthcare and beyond.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of proven leadership experience in platform or solution operations, product operations, support engineering, or SRE/DevOps, ideally in data-intensive or healthcare contexts.
  • Familiarity with integration concepts (interfaces, routing, transformations), monitoring, and incident/change practices.
  • Practical experience with connectivity/security fundamentals (VPNs, tunnels, certs, SFTP, TLS) and working cross-functionally with Security/IT.
  • A track record of driving automation, standardization, and repeatability—moving teams from manual work to scalable, documented processes.
  • Excellent communication skills—calm and clear during incidents, trusted by both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Embrace AI-enhanced workflows: Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) to increase efficiency, improve decision-making, and continuously explore new ways to augment your work with emerging technologies.
  • (Bonus) Exposure to HL7 v2 / FHIR, healthcare interface engines (Rhapsody-class), scripting/SQL, and regulated environments (HIPAA/SOC 2).

  • Deliver with impact to ensure seamless new interface implementations with clear timelines, transparent communication, and reliable execution that customers can trust.
  • Reimagine repeatability:Design and scale templates, runbooks, and automation that move us from bespoke work to industrial-grade, repeatable solutions.
  • Protect and enable customers:Own VPNs, certificates, SFTP, and security controls in close partnership with Security/IT, ensuring integrations are both fast and secure.
