WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5-8 years experience working on a brand, branding, marketing, and brand strategy
  • Experience bringing content to life through product innovation and experiences
  • Proven success in project management and execution required
  • Experience in brand campaign and marketing management for large scale global brands (in house or agency side)

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL TRAINING, TECHNICAL TRAINING OR CERTIFICATION

  • 4 yr college degree required
  • MBA or similar Masters desired

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

  • Ability to ideate, engage in and launch marketing campaigns
  • Ability to operate in a matrixed organization to drive change in all directions, across businesses and markets
  • Ability to convert story and narrative to product and experiences

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

YOUR NEW ROLE…

The Sr. Manager, Global Franchise is responsible for driving marketing, marketing strategy and brand activations globally for our animation franchises (Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, etc.) in support of the VP, Global Franchise. This role closely collaborates with WBD divisions and partners to bring these campaigns and activations to life. Supporting the VP, the Sr. Manager will engage in and drive all elements of marketing for our global franchise animation properties, and partner closely with Managers within the team on brand stewardship and guidelines. This role requires someone who is consumer obsessed, creative and an expert in premiere WBD franchises, especially animation properties. This person is a big thinker who can communicate vision, and an operator who excels at establishing the strategic marketing roadmap and activating the marketing plan to achieve strategic business and franchise goals.

YOUR ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES…

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership and Brand Marketing Positioning: Engages in and leads workstreams and projects for the brand marketing positioning, platform and campaigns by developing comprehensive global marketing strategies and plans for short and long-term business growth ensuring that the marketing strategies align with the brand vision and positioning.
  • Contributes to the long-range strategic franchise plans by developing compelling multi-channel marketing campaigns with audience targeting and engagement plans that can be optimized and measured, all of which drive towards revenue and sustained annual growth across all lines of business (e.g. Consumer Products, streaming, games, etc.), and ultimately align with the larger WBD strategic goals and objectives.
  • Engages in any brand platform and brand campaign work, including leading agency engagement, and working with the VP to partner with marketing executives across WBD to ensure brand work is enterprise-wide and global in nature
  • Global Steward – Engages in the development of marketing plans, leading workstreams, that resonate with global and local audiences working with regions and territories to ensure marketing approach is on strategy to deliver business, brand and audience targets efficiently and effectively.
  • Engages in the measurement of franchise marketing initiatives, including collaborating with insights and analytics leads to understand and support KPIs in the short and long term
  • Leads execution of franchise marketing efforts including annual campaigns, and key beats such as Scoobtober or Wabbit Day
  • Partners closely with the Franchise Digital team to bring franchise strategy and marketing to life with our fans across all digital platforms
  • Supports the development of executive presentations that influence and rally the organization around a shared vision and strategic plan, summarizing key data, strategic business decisions and recommendations, and a roadmap to achieve franchise goals.
  • Executes on brand sizzles, brag and other marketing materials to be used both internally and externally to rally the enterprise around the animation franchise’s strategy and vision.
  • Supports projects and workstreams that engage senior business and creative leaders across the enterprise to grow our Brands and Franchises
  • Engages with the Manager, Global Franchise when animation guidelines are developed to ensure they are instantiated in marketing efforts
  • Be a steward of the brand, ensuring brand excellence and consistency, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices across Divisions, Partners, and Territories, and driving synergies across the flywheel.
