JOB SUMMARY The Senior Manager, Human Resources serves as the primary HR Business Partner to the executive and operational leadership at Celebration Key. This role provides strategic HR support across all facets of the employment lifecycle while ensuring alignment with business objectives and employee needs. The Senior Manager leads a small team responsible for Core HR and Employee Housing while partnering closely with The Bahamas Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development centers of excellence teams. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of business operations, strong HR expertise, and a proactive, customer-focused approach. The Carnival Grand Bahama Investments Limited (CGBIL), a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc, seeks a Sr. Manager, Human Resources - Celebration Key. The role will also play a critical role in the broader Carnival Corporation Global Ports and Destinations Development (GPDD) team. GPDD is responsible for the development and operations of our six existing Carnival-owned destinations in the Caribbean: Grand Turk (Turks and Caicos), Mahogany Bay (Roatan, Honduras), Puerta Maya (Cozumel, Mexico), Amber Cove (Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic), Half Moon Cay (Little San Salvador, The Bahamas), and Princess Cays (Eleuthera, The Bahamas). GPDD is also responsible for the development and operations of Celebration Key, expected to open in July 2025. The 6 existing destinations are expected to welcome more than 6 million visitors in 2024, with that number expected to grow significantly once Celebration Key is opened, and they include a variety of world-leading amenities such as: pristine beaches, pools, swim-up bars, water activities, food and beverage, retail, and cultural exhibits. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Sr. Manager, Human Resources is responsible for, but not limited to the following: Act as the lead HR Business Partner for Celebration Key leadership, providing guidance and support on workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. Manage and oversee Employee Housing, ensuring efficient operations, compliance, and a positive employee living and community experience. Lead and develop a team responsible for Core HR functions and Employee Housing. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to ensure seamless hiring processes and workforce integration while supporting leadership in recruitment strategy. Work closely with Learning & Development to ensure training programs align with business needs and employee development goals. Develop, implement, and hold leadership accountable to a continuous pay for performance management approach, including but not limited to mid-year and end-year reviews as well as continuous performance conversations and the provision of feedback. Oversee key HR functions, including compliance with employment laws, HR policy implementation, and workplace culture initiatives. Drive HR strategies that enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance. Utilize data and analytics to inform HR decision-making and business recommendations. Partner with leadership to foster an inclusive, high-performing, and customer-centric workplace. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. 8+ years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HR leadership or business partnership role. Strong knowledge of the Bahamas Employment Act and its implementation, HR best practices, and organizational development strategies. Experience managing employee housing or workforce accommodations is a plus. Proven ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders and influence business outcomes through HR initiatives. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment on-site, at a development site and guest-facing destination or theme park. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) preferred. Experience in hospitality, travel, or a related industry is highly desirable.
