This senior-level role operates with a high degree of autonomy, managing large-scale, cross-functional projects while mentoring team members and driving enterprise-wide best practices. The ideal candidate will have deep operational expertise in end-to-end inventory flow, strong analytical acumen, and a proven ability to influence change across all levels of an organization.Essential Functions:DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:STRATEGIC INVENTORY & QUALITY LEADERSHIP:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for inventory flow and quality across all operational touchpoints—receiving, Putaway, picking, shipping, and returns.
  • Independently lead the development, deployment, and governance of processes that ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
  • Partner with site leadership and senior stakeholders to align ICQA strategy with business objectives.ENTERPRISE PROGRAM OWNERSHIP:
  • Design and oversee a scalable, standardized ICQA program across the network, including audit mechanisms, KPI dashboards, and governance routines.
  • Own the rollout of enterprise-wide inventory and quality initiatives, ensuring adoption, consistency, and measurable impact.MENTORSHIP & CAPABILITY BUILDING:
  • Lead, Mentor and train new ICQA team members, fostering knowledge transfer and capability development across the organization.
  • Serve as a coach and escalation point for complex challenges encountered by field-level ICQA practitioners.ADVANCED ROOT CAUSE & P&L OVERSIGHT:
  • Lead in-depth investigations of significant variances and P&L impacts related to inventory control and quality failures.
  • Drive high-impact corrective action plans and ensure accountability across teams and sites.CROSS-FUNCTIONAL INFLUENCE & COLLABORATION:
  • Work across and with all levels of our operations teams—including site leadership, corporate functions, and peer SMEs—to resolve barriers and achieve quality and inventory excellence.
  • Lead strategic, multi-DC projects that improve inventory control, reduce shrink, and enhance operational performanceMinimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude:EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or quality assurance—preferably in food distribution or consumer goods.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) managing high performing Engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in warehouse inventory flow, including receiving, Putaway, picking, and shipping.
  • Proven track record of independently managing large-scale operational programs or transformations.
  • Experience mentoring others and leading through influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and warehouse/inventory systems (e.g., WMS, SAP, Manhattan, JDA).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
