The team is responsible for setting the global procurement strategy for sustainable materials & packaging to enable our growing manufacturing footprint and sustainability promise to the Builders of Tomorrow!

Core responsibilities of this position are to engage the market and assist in developing the supply chain for sustainable paper packaging materials, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders such as the packaging R&D department and the Environmental Strategy team to. Moreover, you will:

• Drive acceleration and implementation of sustainable agenda for paper packaging
• Develop and bring to implementation projects and solutions related to more sustainable packaging
• Support in discussions and engagement with the suppliers on reduction of process emissions (Scope 3) in the paper and packaging industry as well as the related supply chain
• Evaluate, analyze, and prepare presentations on impact, commercial attractiveness and cost of different routes to sustainability for each material enabling prioritisation of resources by steering committee
• Monitor and identify potential innovative technology routes as well as strategic partners for development of more sustainable packaging alternatives.
