Sr Manager, Maintenance Operations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting experience
Or
Master’s degree and 6 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 10 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have a minimum of 2 years experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of relevant maintenance experience in an industrial setting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, instrumentation, maintenance procedures, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be responsible for managing front line managers and teams, covering both mechanical maintenance and instrumentation. The Sr Manager will ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of facilities 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This position is essential in maintaining standards of operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of front line managers responsible for mechanical maintenance and instrumentation activities.
  • Ensure all maintenance operations are planned and delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
  • Oversee scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of maintenance activities to support facility operations on a 24/7 basis.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all maintenance functions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data-driven insights to enhance maintenance effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a zero-incident workplace.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to support operational goals and capital projects.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and contracts, ensuring fiscal responsibility and cost optimization.
  • Champion the adoption of new technologies and standard processes in mechanical and instrumentation maintenance.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical events or equipment failures.
  • This role requires onsite presence with availability for on-call response to emergencies as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with exposure to industrial conditions.
