MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical Manufacturing positions
  • 4+ years management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and/or years of experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience of managing in an aseptic manufacturing operation, knowledge of aseptic and applicable GMP regulatory guidelines, with a proven ability to apply them.
  • Proven ability through scientific principles, to tackle problems with strong analytical problem-solving skills and lead cross functional teams to deliver on site priorities.
  • Demonstrated strong leadership with the ability to establish common purpose and partner with other departments to deliver on objectives.
  • Direct experience and capability to understand the key priorities for the business, to organise and manage large teams to deliver on those priorities.
  • Clear ability and skill to communicate at different levels of the organisation, including Snr Leadership. Able to provide clear and concise communication, that engages and motivates for successful outcomes.
  • Experience in the development of managers and others, with positive coaching to enhance their capabilities with the needs of the business and their growth.
  • Proven track record of setting clear strategic objectives, allocate resources, managing program of projects and overcome obstacles to meet targets.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance the high standard of safety and quality culture throughout the manufacturing areas, driving awareness, strong mindset and improved metrics.
  • Maximise plant resources and coordinate personnel to ensure safety, product quality standards and production schedules are met within budgeted costs
  • Oversee daily operations, improving business systems and building high performance in the teams. Deliver the plan in accordance with agreed customer requirements
  • Coach and develop team of manufacturing managers, who manage teams of operational staff, to achieve production goals and objectives in line with key performance indicators
  • Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the site as a whole
  • Drive reliability of the plant. Oversee response to issues that occur, through effective root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate preventative actions
  • Support a process for driving continuous improvements and sustained productivity. Initiate and implement innovative plant improvement projects that are focused on delivering the business strategy.
  • Provide operational expertise and clear requirements for process development and new product introduction projects
  • Responsible for the recruitment of talented staff into Manufacturing, setting standards for their performance, enhancing their capability and the development of pipeline talent.
  • Develop, maintain, and justify the department’s budget. Understanding spending trends and identifying cost saving initiatives.
