KNOW OUR TEAM

Nutrition International’s Partnerships and Growth unit is a diverse team of dedicated professionals in business development, advocacy and government relations. The unit serves as a knowledge management hub and facilitates decision-making of all resource mobilization efforts, promotes standardized prepositioning and proposal processes, and supports business development capacity building across NI teams. The unit specifically leads NI’s response to competitive funding opportunities (RFPs) through prepositioning and proposal development and leads on the cultivation of private sector donors through prospecting and stewardship. We support resource mobilization efforts at the regional and country level by supporting bid planning, outreach and engagement with donors and partners, and proposal development. The unit works closely with other teams across the organization to grow and diversify resources for Nutrition International’s global strategy and Investment Case. Currently, Nutrition International is seeking applications for a Sr. Manager, Partnerships & Growth to be based in Ottawa, Canada or possibility for a remote arrangement.

Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Partnerships and Growth is responsible for elevating Nutrition International’s global profile as a leader in international development and nutrition by developing and implementing strategies that enhance visibility, foster high-level connections with governments, and drive impactful partnerships. Acting as a key liaison with government officials worldwide, the incumbent facilitates collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogues to advance NI’s mission. The role also involves monitoring and analyzing global policy developments, providing strategic insights for advocacy, building cross-sector relationships, and leading nutrition diplomacy efforts to position NI as a key broker in international forums and negotiations.
In this role you will:

Enhance Visibility and Reputation

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to elevate NI’s profile as a leader in international development and nutrition, globally including through shaping and participating in policy dialogues, public forums, and strategic communications.

Facilitate Strategic Connections with Governments

  • Act as the key liaison to connect NI and various government officials, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange to advance NI Initiatives.

Support International Partnership Development

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and pursue new opportunities for international partnerships leveraging all-of-Canada networks to support NI’s programs.

Policy Monitoring and Intelligence

  • Track and analyze policy developments relevant to international development and nutrition providing strategic insights and recommendations to inform organizational positioning and advocacy.

Cross-Sector Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Canadian NGOs, academic institutions, and private sectors to support collaborative initiatives and amplify NI’s reach and impact.

Nutrition Diplomacy

  • Develop strategies and tactics for leveraging Canada’s global nutrition leadership to advance other geopolitical relationships in a way that brings development, diplomacy, trade, and foreign policy interests and positions NI as a next-level broker.

Travel: 15-20% of the role will be occupied with international travel.
