As the Sr Manager Standards and Guidelines you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our fleet by leading the development implementation and management of comprehensive architectural standards closely tight to technical naval and operational standards These standards and guidelines will drive consistency enhance quality and reinforce our brand identity across all Newbuild and fleet modernization projects Leveraging advanced technologies such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) and cloud-based platforms for real-time sharing and communication you will establish processes for tracking measurement and collaboration ensuring seamless integration of standards and guidelines by internal teams and external architects and consultants Your leadership will guide the adoption of standardized practices enforce quality control mechanisms and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements positioning our company as a leader in design innovation and operational excellence

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in architecture naval architecture or related field required Cruise industry experience strong preference
Experience in preparation of QA & QC schedules and cost analysis 10+ years
Experience managing external architectural and/or design consultants 10- 15 years
Minimum of 8 years managing multi-million-dollar projects and managing high- performing teams

Proficiency in BIM Revit

  • AutoCAD software 7 -10 years

Ability to introduce efficiencies and modern techniques to existing processes

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Strong analytical skills highly organized and detail oriented strong problem solving and decision-making skills
Articulate design issues in written and verbal communications sketches/drawings etc
Ability to translate stated design principles / objectives into unique and varied solutions
Knowledge of architectural detailing material assembly construction process project sequencing specifications etc for construction document QA/production and construction administration
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and employees across diverse cultures around the world
Demonstrate a high level of interpretation and communication skills to convey aesthetic concepts and requirements of the design group to technical and non-technical representation
Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals

Ability to effectively present info and respond to questions from group leaders & executives

Capable of working on multiple projects

Must be able to work in the metric system

Responsibilities

Directs develops and maintains standards and guidelines to enhance efficiency in entire overall design process for all assigned projects forming and maintaining brand specific design concepts
Creates standard and guidelines strategies that support the organization’s mission and value based on an internal and external needs assessment
Embraces the value of the design guidelines & standards CADD & drawing standards and supports implementation to enhance the content of design drawings and specifications
Ensure detailing consistency and apply expert knowledge of commonly used architectural concepts practices codes and procedures within the industry
Leads the development maintenance and implement of Quality Assurance standards to improve quality and timely delivery of projects
Compiles manages and maintains Quality Control documents for use during the project and for archiving upon completion of the project
Supports project team by flagging design and technical inconsistencies and deviations from standards across multiple phases of the design process
Leads the development of evolution of standards and guidelines toward long-term goals
Develops and shares best practices effectively between external architectural interior design and consultancy firms guiding the design they provide
Proactively researches new methodology and proposes ideas for more effective execution of projects
Ensures that brand concepts are apparent and credible and fulfill the voice of the Corporation and each Brand which continues our culture of design innovation
Leads presentations and project reports as updates for Executive review
Performs other duties as required
