Sr. Manufacturing Engineer - Polymer Extrusion
Are you a hands-on engineer with a passion for supporting manufacturing and a knack for automation PeopleShare is seeking an experienced Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our client’s team in the Portland, OR area. This is a great opportunity to be a key technical resource, working directly on the manufacturing floor to introduce, maintain, and troubleshoot cutting-edge equipment, with a focus on automated cutting and polymer extrusion. We’re looking for a proactive problem-solver with strong mechanical skills to drive process improvements and support business objectives.
Job Details: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Wilsonville, OR (Portland area)

Pay Range: $100k-$125k
*
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
Position Responsibilities: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
*
Serve as the technical expert for manufacturing processes related to polymer extrusion and heat shrink tubing production.
*
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues by performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
*
Lead cost reduction and process improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
*
Manage and execute process validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) and create related technical documentation.
*
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve key business goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Position Requirements: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer
*
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
*
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the medical device industry.
*
Proven track record of successfully completing projects that deliver tangible business results.
*
Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude with experience supporting manufacturing equipment.
*
Experience with polymer processing, including extrusion and molding, is highly recommended.
