JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for supervising a manufacturing engineering department, controlling contract manufacturing and production processes, developing mid-term manufacturing strategy, supporting decision-making processes, co-leading sourcing plans, advising on financial-technical matters, initiating continuous improvement, and ensuring adherence to established business processes.

Responsibilities
  • Leads an engineering department, and oversees activities including achieving results, product improvement, design for manufacturability, controlling costs such as CAPEX, staffing, performance management, compensation, career development, and directing operational processes.
  • Drives team efficiency, analyzes the progress and outcomes of projects and department activities to identify areas for improvement, implements strategies for enhanced performance, and ensures alignment with objectives to achieve desired results.
  • Implements statistical process control (SPC) techniques and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, reducing variation, enhancing product quality and fostering innovation across various aspects of the organization.
  • Analyzes ongoing project status and outcomes through technical reports and recommendations, establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements to maintain operational efficiency and effectively communicates progress and results to higher management for informed decision-making.
  • Ensures strict adherence to established business processes, maintains consistency, efficiency, and compliance across all operational activities, and oversees resources, planning, quality, and cost (including Capex) for projects.
