SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • 8-10 yrs experience in marketing, with experience managing direct reports
  • Experience in marketing plasmid/viral vector research tools space and/or CDMO industry
  • Demonstrated skills in implementing and monitoring an advertising plan in free, earned and purchased digital media; understanding of media buying and ROI analysis
  • Working with media buying and creative agencies in the research tools in research organizations or contract manufacturing /CDMO space
  • Demonstrated experience in developing messaging for product launch and ongoing product campaigns
  • Understanding customer unmet need and communicating the benefits of our products that fulfill customer need
  • Experience working in a CRM (Hubspot), Google Analytics & Ads, and Adobe Illustrator
  • Demonstrated experience in determining an annual scientific conference plan and executing a scientific conference strategy across a multi-functional team. Expectations for conference planning and execution include objectives, consistent corporate and product messaging, booth creation and management, customer engagement, assess ROI
  • Experience with providing marketing tools to sales teams and distributors in international markets
  • Familiarity with inbound marketing or content marketing
  • MBA preferred
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

The Sr. Marketing Manager will lead the marketing efforts in support of Addgene’s mission to accelerate scientific research and discovery. This role will improve access to useful research materials and information through building awareness of the unique value of Addgene’s products and services with the scientific community. The marketing team at Addgene drives business objectives by understanding the customers unmet needs and generating demand in different customer segments. Reporting to the Director of Content, this role is both a contributor to our marketing strategy and a key teammate who executes marketing initiatives.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Develop global marketing strategies and integrated multi-channel marketing plans.
  • Complete tactical projects to achieve key performance indicators, revenue targets and other annual operating plan objectives with the oversight and guidance of the Director of Content.
  • Provide marketing materials with consistent messaging regarding benefits of products and services to support customer facing initiatives and teams
  • Create a plan to execute go-to-market marketing plan for new products
  • Interface with business development, product management, and customer support to implement marketing messaging through the business touchpoints with the customers
  • Create marketing strategy and aligned content and messaging for industry conferences
  • Partner with the digital product team to enhance user website experience to generate awareness and demand for our products.
  • Write copy and content for digital advertising; Oversee and implement digital advertising strategies and media buying
  • Conduct market research and gather competitive intelligence to maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics in partnership from product management
  • Support commercial leadership in monitoring KPIs and determining success of marketing campaigns including return on investment analysis
  • Work with the Director of Content to establish and manage an annual marketing budget to achieve operating metrics
