WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:

Strategic Planning: Lead the division’s long-term strategic and annual marketing planning processes, ensuring alignment with business financial goals and market dynamics.

  • Brand Development and Management (Promotion & People): Set the vision for BOSS brand marketing and oversee all initiatives to strengthen brand awareness, relevance, loyalty, and advocacy across diverse customer segments. Manage agencies and internal teams to deliver integrated brand campaigns.
  • Pricing Strategy (Price): Develop and optimize pricing strategies, programs, and promotions to meet revenue, margin, and market share objectives. Support sales efforts through strategic promotional planning based on market and competitive insights.
  • Go-to-Market and Channel Strategy (Place): Collaborate with sales and channel partners to create and execute effective go-to-market programs that maximize market penetration through dealer and distributor networks. Customize channel marketing support to fit regional and account-specific needs.
  • Demand Generation and Communications (Promotion): Develop and manage targeted marketing campaigns across digital, social, event, and traditional platforms to build awareness, generate leads, and drive customer acquisition and retention. Oversee CRM and marketing automation initiatives to enhance lead nurturing and engagement.
  • Content Creation Leadership: Lead the content creation team responsible for digital, social, video, print, and event marketing materials to ensure high-quality, brand-consistent storytelling that resonates with target audiences.
  • Marketing Operations: Oversee marketing budget planning, management, and reporting. Track marketing effectiveness using KPIs, analytics, and dashboards to inform decision-making and optimize spend.
  • BOSS SCP: Lead BOSS Smart Connected Product Strategy and business development, representing BOSS SCP interest within the Landscape Contractor Group and broader corporation.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing team including specialists in brand, communications, channel marketing, digital marketing, customer engagement, and content creation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with Product Management, Sales, Engineering, Customer Care, Supply Chain teams, and closely align marketing strategies with the Landscape Contractor Group (LCG) marketing function to drive consistency and leverage enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Representation and Advocacy: Represent the BOSS Division at key industry events, trade shows, dealer meetings, and corporate forums to strengthen brand positioning and market intelligence.

To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive marketing leadership experience, preferably in durable goods, B2B/B2C industries with dealer/distributor channel exposure.
  • Demonstrated success in brand management, pricing strategy, go-to-market execution, and demand generation.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L levers related to marketing spend and promotions.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, CRM, marketing automation platforms, and content creation leadership.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment balancing divisional autonomy with corporate alignment.
