Description

As the Senior Marketing Manager, Creative Copy and Design, you will be responsible for leading the in-house creative development for DIY and Commercial Marketing including in-store signage, collateral, promotions, digital assets and direct mail. In this role, you will be pivotal in shaping and implementing our creative strategies across various channels to drive customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth. The Senior Marketing Manager, Creative Copy and Design, will collaborate closely with Brand, Digital Experience, Communications, Commercial, Direct Marketing, HR, Talent Acquisition, Rewards and other Creative team members to combine creativity, best practices, and technology to produce engaging and high-performing designs. The ideal candidate will be organized, a creative thinker, and a passionate problem solver with great aesthetic sense and a keen eye for visual details.
This position, reporting to the Marketing Director, Internal Creative Services, offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment and contribute to the success of a globally recognized organization. Additionally, you will have direct interaction with Marketing and E-Commerce Vice Presidents and Senior Vice President. This individual will manage a team of 7 with 3 direct reports and will at times also lead large-scale presentations.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of experience in design, with a focus on leading creative development, preferably in a large-scale corporate environment
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end creative development of promotional marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives, brand guidelines, and industry best practices
  • Lead the copy and design of retail marketing materials with a customer-centric approach, ensuring alignment with shopper marketing strategies and brand standards to create engaging, impactful, and cohesive in-store experiences
  • Drive overall creative aesthetic and concept creation, bringing innovative ideas to life both visually and verbally
  • Conceptualize and develop creative marketing campaigns that effectively communicate brand messaging, drive customer acquisition and engagement, and help break through the clutter in the Automotive Aftermarket retail space
  • Bring a forward-thinking design aesthetic and the desire to push the creative product
  • Ability to lead copy and content teams to big ideas and craft a compelling brand narrative uniting.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including DIY Promotions, Private Label, Direct Marketing, Commercial Marketing, Brand, Digital Experience, Visual Merchandising, Pricing and Promotions and Legal teams, to deliver compelling and impactful marketing assets
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target audience, their preferences, and behaviors
  • Ability to understand and interpret campaign performance, leveraging data insights to optimize campaigns,
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best design practices, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in performance
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to inspire junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
  • Work with digital team and developers to ensure aesthetics also are aligned with usability, accessibility, and web standards

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has three direct reports, consisting of managers and associate managers, and a team of seven overall. They will oversee multiple external vendors. In addition, this role offers significant lateral and upward influence, leading strategic conversations across the organization and with senior leadership teams.
