IPS – ABBA Roller is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design & Process Engineer to join our organization and support design, development, and testing of elastomeric components and precision mechanical systems. This senior-level role is ideal for engineers passionate about mechanical design, materials science, and advanced manufacturing. The successful candidate will work on engineered solutions for industries requiring high-performance elastomeric components & metal-to-rubber bonded products.

YEARS EXPERIENCE:

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, elastomeric components, or manufacturing.
• Experience in high-precision mechanical design, elastomers, and composite materials is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with industrial standards is advantageous.

SKILLS:

• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Autocad and/or CATIA).
• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including 3D printing, rubber molding, polymer extrusion, CNC machining, and coatings applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to drive tasks & projects to completion.
• Detail-oriented with time management skills to handle multiple projects.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you play a crucial role in developing and optimizing elastomeric components and sealing solutions for various industries including robotics, EV, agriculture and industrial applications. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, managing multiple development & application engineering projects, and ensuring that all components meet industry standards.
