JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Mechanical Designer (MEP) with strong capabilities in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection system design, and mechanical equipment sizing. The ideal candidate should have solid experience working with principal consultants and MEP designers, along with excellent knowledge of mechanical codes and authority approval processes (Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 12-15 years of experience in mechanical/M&E design.
• Certifications in Mechanical Design Programs are preferred.
• Certified by Dubai Municipality, DCD, and DEWA (Mandatory).
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA, SMACNA, and other international codes.
• Strong practical knowledge in AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, and design software.

• Prepare mechanical system designs including HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and mechanical equipment layouts.
• Develop detailed mechanical designs, calculations, and load schedules based on project requirements.
• Generate and manage technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.
• Ensure designs adhere to ASHRAE standards, UAE regulations, and international codes.
• Prepare and submit drawings/documents to Dubai Municipality, DCD, DEWA, and other relevant authorities.
• Coordinate closely with authorities for approvals and ensure full regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams to finalize mechanical designs.
• Review and approve contractor’s shop drawings, mechanical design reports, and equipment data sheets.
• Respond to and resolve RFIs and design clarification requests during design and construction phases.
