Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings, ensuring optimal functionality and compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for creating and managing detailed building system layouts, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, other engineers, and project teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs.
  • Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance analyses to optimize system efficiency and sustainability.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC and plumbing systems, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions for building mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with hands-on experience in building systems design.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and national building codes related to HVAC and plumbing.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) or EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and an aptitude for quality control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across project teams.
