As a member of the Continuation Engineering group, the Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be a key member of an engineering team responsible for designing solutions, cost reductions, and improving quality of Entrust released products. Our solutions utilize a broad range of printing technologies and use a variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical components and processes, including injection molded plastic, sheet metal, machining, rubber molding, power transmission, DC motors, lasers, and sensors. Responsibilities: Lead, develop, and execute project work plans, incorporating revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements Use theoretical calculations and analytical methods to develop and support mechanical concepts Review or create part drawings, solid models, and bills of material Provide technical input at design reviews Identify and complete Value Engineering / Cost Reduction activities to meet customer requests and departmental objectives. Minimize schedule and technical risk by foreseeing and addressing obstacles proactively and aggressively. Provide technical problem solving May mentor other engineers Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities Other duties and projects as assigned Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 5+ years of engineering experience 3D solid modeling experience Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and general use of PC applications Able to travel up to 10% within the US and internationally. Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical aptitude with hands-on skills Interest in product design Detail-oriented, deadline driven, self-directed and organized individual Ability to excel in highly interactive team environment Commitment to learning and continuous improvement A high level of initiative and self confidence Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good written and verbal communications Experience working with mechanical and electromechanical products Experience using SolidWorks 3D CAD program At Entrust, we don’t just offer jobs – we offer career journeys.
