Description

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

  • Expertise in HVAC engineering and design, including strong familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Project experience involving (DX) systems and chilled water systems.
  • Strong grasp of HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, piping design, and equipment selection.
  • Proficiency in selecting equipment such as air handling units, fans, VAV terminals, package units, pumps, chillers, and heating systems.
  • Experience with plumbing and fire protection systems is a plus.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple assignments while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Maintains professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential client information appropriately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong command of English grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required; REVIT preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design and develop HVAC systems for a range of building types, from concept through construction.
  • Generate detailed AutoCAD and REVIT drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, electrical, structural, and plumbing.
  • Conduct site visits, perform field verifications, and support construction-phase services.
  • Lead HVAC equipment selection, sizing, and layout including chilled water and DX systems.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and industry practices.
