Rogers Bank is looking for Sr. Manager, Architecture, Banking & Financial Services to help us drive and shape the next chapter of our growth. This role will report to CTO, Rogers Bank and In this role you will own and shape large, meaningful, customer facing and business impacting platforms – and sit in the intersection of architecture and delivery within the Rogers Bank technology organization. The Sr. Manager, Architecture, Banking & Financial Services is accountable for the end-to-end solution design of multiple digital platforms - spanning banking, credit cards, contact center, service, data and acquisition journeys. You will translate enterprise architecture principles into actionable designs, guide solution managers and vendor teams, and ensure platforms are secure, delivered to standard.
The role combines platform ownership, detailed design authority, and vendor delivery leadership, serving as the bridge between architecture strategy and hands-on execution. People management is part of the accountabilities within this position.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Strong documentation and diagramming skills.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work across architecture, delivery, operations, and vendor teams.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own solution design for one or more digital platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and business strategy.
  • Partner with solution managers to define platform roadmaps, capabilities, and feature sets.
  • Translate conceptual designs into detailed solution blueprints and integration specifications.
  • Lead design reviews with internal and vendor teams to ensure architectural compliance and quality.
  • Manage multiple concurrent vendor-based deliveries, ensuring scope, quality, and timelines are met.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to solution managers, DevOps leads, and vendor engineering teams.
  • Identify and resolve cross-platform integration issues, dependencies, and risks.
  • Embed security, privacy, and compliance requirements into all designs.
  • Maintain architecture artefacts, integration diagrams, and decision logs for governance and audit.
  • Contribute to platform modernization strategies, including migration plans and adoption of new technologies.
