JD- Senior Manager, Security Engineering Operations UKG is seeking a Senior Manager, Security Engineering Operations, to be part of our Global Security organization, as a member of our Identity Access Management (IAM) & Engineering leadership team. This person will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our organization’s systems and data and bring technical expertise related to platform authentication, directory services, authorization, access control, security, and networking. They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, and lead and build a team of skilled professionals, driving the implementation and maintenance of robust security practices, solutions, and systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute security strategy aligned with business goals Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security practices into the organization’s overall technology roadmap Work with internal stakeholders across numerous technical functions, and develop technical roadmaps for core enterprise security solutions Operate as a subject matter expert on directory services and engineering solutions Evaluate and select security tools and technologies to enhance our defenses Partner with and manage the relationships with key technical vendors to deliver engineering capabilities and services Collaborate with IT architecture, security architecture, and infrastructure SMEs to ensure alignment with security solution architecture Ensure user experience considerations are incorporated into the program design and delivered solutions Lead the proof of concept, product selection, deployment, and integration of security solutions Identify areas of technical consolidation when new solutions are considered and brought online Maintain system documentation and protocols Manage, guide and mentor personnel Support the hiring and onboarding of new personnel Qualifications- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, MCSE, ITIL) are preferred. 14+ years of relevant Security Engineering and/or Identity and Access Management experience Experience with directory services, such as Active Directory (AD), Oracle Universal Directory (OUD), or LDAP directories in general Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with enterprise Identity Management solutions Experience with multiple authentication and authorization solutions and directory platforms Experience with privilege management solutions Excellent understanding of authentication, authorization, role-based access, least privilege and segregation of duties access control concepts Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non‐technical audiences Proven track record of successful IAM implementations and support of those applications Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate actions Ability to deliver quality results in a high-energy environment Ability to multi-task and manage demands of many projects, issues, and tasks Preferred Qualifications: ITIL 4 Certification CIAM Certification (Certified Identity Access Manager) CISSP Certification (Certified Information Security Systems Professional) Strong background and experience in enterprise identity management solutions and Active Directory etc. Where we’re going UKG is on the cusp of something truly special.
