QUALIFICATIONS:

· Be familiar with relay test sets (Doble, Omicron), and carrier test set (PLC PowerComm)
· Results-oriented; capable of scheduling and completing testing with minimum supervision
· Understand and follow applicable clearance procedures and safety practices
· Self-motivated
· Good analytical and problem solving skills
· Exercises good communication, organizational and time management skills
· Ability and willingness to work out of town
· Valid driver’s license and a good driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Know how to interpret one-lines, three lines, DC schematics and wiring diagrams
· Perform testing/routine maintenance of relaying (electro-mechanical and micro-processor).
· Perform testing of power line carrier (RFL, PowerComm, Pulsar, Trench)
· Perform troubleshooting and repair of substation relaying and control equipment
· Write procedures, test plans and/or switching
· Plan, schedule, and complete test activities efficiently, safely and without service interruptions
