Muni Sr Trader
The Municipal Fixed Income Senior Trader oversees the purchase and sale of municipal securities on behalf of mutual fund portfolio managers. As a recognized expert in municipal fixed income trading, this position seeks to capitalize on market inefficiencies by creating total return opportunities through relative value trading for clients.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supports portfolio managers with secondary trading by coordinating the execution of orders.
  • Helps improve liquidity access for the municipal team through fostering enhanced relationships with trading counterparties
  • Identifies opportunities and proposes solutions to improve investment returns.
  • Monitors market conditions and portfolio holdings to identify pricing inefficiencies, technical trends, and support trade recommendations.
  • Evaluates market information to help reduce impact of price volatility on municipal funds.
  • Advises portfolio managers on longer-term strategies for positioning in sectors, structures and issuers.
  • Coordinate with research team to identify opportunities across sectors and credits.
  • Ensures that all trading processes and documents comply with standard policies.

Base Pay Range: $200,000/yr - $250,000/yr
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
