Your Opportunity as Sr. National Account Manager, Club Channel (Sweet Baked Snacks Sales Team)
You will be the Sales lead for a strategic business unit with the goal of driving profitable sales growth for both JM Smucker (JMS) and our club customers (Sam’s Club, Costco US and BJ’s Wholesale)
Location: Smucker sales office in Bentonville, Arkansas
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite T/W/H weekly; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will:
Business Management
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships within club channel customers, broker partners and internal cross functional stakeholders
- Lead, direct and manage broker partners to execute against commitments for Costco US
- Own, nurture and influence direct customer management of Sam’s Club and BJ’s.
- Develop and contribute to Channel and customer specific strategies to drive brand/category growth and achieve or exceed sales/profit goals
- Own & lead negotiation for joint business planning, new items, key initiatives, etc. directly with customers or through broker where appropriate
- Influence key stakeholders to implement solutions through fact-based presentations that deliver results that are beneficial for both companies
- Support and partner with Supply Chain team to drive solutions with club channel customers
- Grow partnership between customer and internal cross-functional teams to drive innovation and business opportunities.
- Manage execution of everyday business, including Customer forms & reports, item/deal setup/ maintenance, online content, logistics and inventory management, etc.
Business Planning & Analysis
- Own annual business plans, Internal QBRs & Customer Joint Business Plans
- Perform in-depth analysis of sales and profit components, including merchandising, promotional and supply chain opportunities
- Work with Madrid and syndicated data sources to manage and inform strategic and tactical plans
- Manage internal sales system (promotions, deductions, forecast, etc)
- Effectively manage trade budget and distribution, shelving, merchandising and pricing objectives
- Forecast monthly and quarterly sales and communicate internally for production planning and financial forecasting
- Ad-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysis
- Drive business process improvements by working closely with cross-functional business partners and team

What we are looking for:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of CPG sales experience with direct national account HQ management experience
- Proven leader in negotiation success
- Joint Business Planning and pro forma experience
- Strong technical skills using Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral & written communication skills (negotiation, selling, presentations, etc)
- Ability to travel up to 20% of work schedule
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
- Previous club channel specific experience and/or Broker Management and services experience
- Proficient in use of syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen) and customer data sources (Madrid)
- Ability to relocate in the future for other growth opportunities with the Company
