Job Description
In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will work directly with the end client’s network and IT infrastructure team as well as BlueAlly project-based consultants supporting the network segmentation assessment and follow-on design/implementation initiative(s). You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the end client’s network and security infrastructure. As a Senior Network Engineer, you may also be required to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field) or equivalent experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent professional certifications(s)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in a network engineering or related role, preferably with recent and/or prior experience in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of network and security architecture, design, technologies, and best practices
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and associated solutions/technologies, preferably within a predominantly Cisco-centric environment
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to act independently with minimal supervisio

Required Skills:

  • Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA)
  • Knowledge of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
  • Preferred experience with network segmentation design and implementation
  • Preferred Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI)
  • Preferred Cisco StealthWatch

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE WILL REQUIRE ONE DAY PER WEEK ONSITE AT CUSTOMER LOCATION IN MIDTOWN ATLANTA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage network and security infrastructure to include, but not limited to, LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
  • Develop and/or maintain up-to-date documentation of network architecture(s), design(s), configurations, processes, and procedures
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and minimal downtime
  • Actively support and assist in the design, planning, and implementation of network segmentation for both wired and wireless networks throughout the enterprise
  • Apply broad technical expertise to address business challenges
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the end client’s network and security infrastructure and associated working environment(s)
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations
  • Provide technical support to junior network engineers and/or other end client IT staff
